Portrait Commissions

A portrait commission is planned, photographed on location, and finished as artwork. Digital files are included. They are not the center of the work.

We begin with the person, relationship or chapter you want to preserve, then shape the portrait around how it should feel and where it may ultimately live.

The result is not simply a collection of files. It is a finished portrait experience designed to end in artwork.

Every commission includes

  • Portrait planning and design
  • Wardrobe guidance
  • Controlled portrait creation
  • Professional editing and natural retouching
  • A private selection session
  • Wall-art planning and mockups
  • Finished digital photographs, high-resolution and for the web
  • Professional archival artwork

From portrait to artwork

For the home

Created to become part of the room — and part of the family.

A mother and her adult daughter seated close on a sofa, heads resting together, in a book-lined living room.
The same portrait printed, matted and set in a dark wood frame, hanging above a console in a lamp-lit living room.

For the office

Made to hold presence beyond the screen.

An executive in a navy jacket and open-collared shirt, seated in a leather chair in his office, a sculpture and a window behind him.
The same portrait printed, matted and framed under a picture light, hanging above a credenza in a boardroom overlooking the city.

For generations

Made to be handed down.

A grandfather seated between his son, standing behind him, and his adult grandson, in the family library.
The same portrait printed, matted and framed above a stone fireplace, between shelves of books in a lamp-lit library.

Made to live somewhere

Artwork is professionally printed on archival materials, mounted and framed to suit the image and the space where it will live.

Depending on the commission, that can be a single statement portrait, a pair, or a larger wall collection — planned with wall mockups before anything is printed.

Begin with a conversation

If you are considering a portrait, the first step is simply to talk about who or what matters now.

You do not need to know which commission is right for you before we speak.
